Hi, I'm Anna. I've changed my name more than once - when I got married, and for family reasons. Every time it was the same pile of forms, hold music and letters I kept meaning to post.
Before this, I built and exited SlothMove, which took the admin out of moving house. So I built the service I wish had existed for me.
I launched in summer 2026 while hopping around with a broken knee. 150+ people helped since the start of June, and I'm only getting started. Imagine what I'll do on two legs.

Do I need a deed poll?
Not always. If you've already got proof of your name change, like a marriage certificate, just send me a photo of it. If not, I prepare a deed poll, you sign it with a witness and send me a photo. The form works out which you need. You need to be 18 or over to use the service. Check which proof you need →
Where do you cover?
England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. In Northern Ireland there are two exceptions for now: I can only update DVLA driving licences (not ones issued in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland), and I don't update rates with NI Direct yet.
Do I need to post you anything?
No. I only ever need a photo of your proof, and a phone photo is fine. The only thing that goes in the post is your DVLA pack, and I'll always give you a backup copy of your proof to keep.

How fast is it?
Quick. You get a welcome email straight away, and I send your updates out fast. After that, each organisation updates your records on its own timeline.
What if something goes wrong?
If I make a mistake, I fix it and resend it for free. That's my Free-Fix Promise. It covers my mistakes, not every decision an organisation makes, but if something goes wrong with an organisation I'll always do my best to get it right. I chase it up, keep you copied in, and I won't leave you hanging.
Are you a law firm?
No. My Name Changed is a done-for-you name change service, not a law firm, government body or notary.
